Letter from CEO regarding the 6th Black Tie and Sneakers Gala
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your continued support and friendship! Our dedicated Board, staff and volunteer base have done an incredible job at expanding our outreach while strengthening our programs and services.
We have received numerous inquiries regarding our signature “Black Tie and Sneakers Gala”. The Black Tie and Sneakers Gala is our largest annual event. Guests can bid on silent auction prizes, win raffles, dress in their finest attire while wearing their best sneakers, enjoy food and beverages, and dance the night away as they help support survivors of traumatic events as well as Police, Fire, and Ambulance personnel.
We have postponed the Gala until November 2019 simply because we have been planning something incredibly special for our 6th Black Tie and Sneakers Gala! We have tried to expand on the Gala each year. Our 5th was incredible, so we want to break the glass ceiling with our next one. We do not want to reveal anything just yet, but we wanted to give you an estimated timeline of what you can expect next:
December 2018 – Announcement of the 6th Black Tie and Sneakers Gala, Release of Prospectus for Sponsorship/exhibitor availability
March 2019 – Announcement of Speakers/Performers/Title Sponsor, Beginning of VIP/Early Bird Ticket Sales
May 2019 – Ticket Sales open, Summer ticket giveaways begin
September 2019 – Close of Sponsorship/exhibitor availability
November 2019 – It’s Gala Time!

Our ongoing goal is to keep increasing awareness and providing our service in the field, and you truly make this possible! The Trauma Survivors Foundation is stronger than ever due to our continually expanding community who comes together to donate time, resources, and talent in support of our important mission. All of you are amazing!
Have we replaced the Gala this year? Nothing can ever fully replace the Gala, but we are having our “Help a Hero Reception” in January 2019 at RedFire Grill in Hockessin, DE. Join us for wine pairings, butlered hors d'oeuvres, and cocktails as we launch the CIRS app with CarePortMD. Network with members of the CarePortMD Team, Police Peer Counselors and The Trauma Survivors Foundation while learning how the CIRS app will benefit the law enforcement community as well as other First Responders. For more information on this event, please go to https://helpahero.eventbrite.com.
We are also in the process of planning something very special for New Years Eve. Please stay tuned for updates to that event.
Thank you for wholeheartedly being a part of the Trauma Survivors Foundation. We are looking forward to 2019!
Sincerely,
Dennis J. Carradin, Jr.
