About Us

The Trauma Survivors Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Delaware. The money raised through donations from caring individuals goes directly to providing trained therapists for emergency response during and after traumatic events, training to expand the network of responders and sponsorships to those that want to become certified and help carry out our mission. All of our services are offered at a national level. Anyone and everyone is affected by trauma and crisis. We want to help those who need our support.

Since the beginning of the Foundation:

  • 25,000 individuals helped through crisis intervention

  • 1,500 trained trauma therapists and crisis interventionists

  • 1,100 crisis responses

  • 5 years of service in the community

Our Mission

The Trauma Survivors Foundation seeks to improve the lives of children and families who have experienced a traumatic event by providing mental health services through a network of trained trauma therapists.  We grant scholarships to high school and college seniors who are seeking careers in the mental health field in order to promote further research into trauma psychology.  We help firefighters, police and EMS with scholarships to attend approved training classes. We train emergency service personnel to provide crisis intervention when a traumatic event occurs.

How You Can Help

We need your help to grow and expand our reach to trauma survivors. Trauma, whether from a motor vehicle accident, house fire, line of duty injury, or a natural disaster, can manifest in various ways. Regardless of its source, the pain it brings is always genuine. By providing crisis intervention and mental health counseling to affected families, we give them hope and the ability to move beyond the traumatic event.

We need your help to educate our future trauma therapists and crisis interventionists. Through scholarships and mentorship programs, we can assist students in unlocking their potential as trauma therapists, enabling them to support families affected by trauma.

We need your help to train emergency services personnel in crisis intervention in order for them to support other emergency services workers during a traumatic incident.
