Holiday Toy Drive
We are very happy to announce with the assistance of Landmark Americana West Chester, Barnaby's of West Chester, Saloon 151, West Chester Kildare's Irish Pub, Rams Head West Chester, Tito's Handmade Vodka, Tito's Vodka Distillery, Jon Schaffer, and Stephen Spera we were able to collect and donate 3 Large boxes filled with toys to WPD Officer Jojo Merced and the efforts of the Delaware Association of Latino Law Enforcement.
The Delaware Association of Latino Law Enforcement (DALLE) (www.DalleDelaware.org) represents all of the criminal justice agencies in the State of Delaware. Our multifaceted organization is made up of law enforcement and first responder personnel from across the state. We strive to improve our members’ welfare through cultural and educational resources, and we assist our members by providing opportunities for promotion, mentorship, training, and representation. We also provide professional support and guidance for members.
Officer Merced has been the driving force of the DALLE Toy Drive for 10 years. This year, the toys will allow at least 25 families to have a joyous Christmas. Along with toys, The Trauma Survivors Foundation was able to donate new clothing which will go directly to a family involved in a house fire only two days ago. Officer Merced reported the family's house and contents were a "total loss". As an organization, we cannot be more proud of the work done by Officer Merced and the entire Delaware Association of Latino Law Enforcement.
